About Us

Welcome! I'm Kenzi Merchant, owner of Avie Lou & Brother! I started out working for this adorable children’s boutique 12 years ago. Some of you may remember it as Isabee’s. What started out as my first “real” job ended up being a passion of mine that would evolve over the years. While going to college to become a veterinary technician, I continued working at Isabee’s as my schedule would allow. In 2014, Brock and I got married and moved to Valdosta until he finished college. We moved back home to Bainbridge and I just couldn’t stay away from my favorite little boutique just off of the square. In the back of my mind I had always wanted to make it mine but was skeptical that it would ever happen. BUT, God had other plans. While trying to figure out this whole “life” thing, we had two children, Avin and Harrison. 💗💙
Fast forward through a lot of praying, smack dab in the middle of the pandemic, God told me to stop being afraid and follow my dreams!
I wanted to change the name from Isabee’s to something close to my heart…my babies! 🥰 Avin’s nickname is Avie Lou and ever since she found out we were having a boy she has called Harrison Brother.
I CANNOT leave out my right hand woman Carley Brogdon! She has been with the store throughout the transition and I absolutely do not know what I’d do without her. She’s such an amazing asset to my store and my life. When I’m busy being a mom, she steps up and works her butt off!! ❤️ We love you C!
So, that’s my story in a nutshell! I can honestly say other than my husband and babies that this place is my heart! Just know that when you shop small with us, you are appreciated more than you will EVER realize!! I appreciate every like, every share, every comment, every review and recommendation! I also LOVE seeing those sweet kiddos in their outfits, monograms or with their Build a Buddies! 😃
With that being said, please come see us Tuesday-Friday from 10-6 and Saturday from 10-2! We’re waiting to help you and give you some of that wonderful small town hospitality!
